Fattygrub here. Occassionally, the rigors of philantrophy, particle physics, and my work for the deaf, dumb, and blind lead me to the kitchen.
Ah yes…. the tranquility of my Breadman TR900S bread making machine….
Bread Machine Chocolate Syrup Brownie Cake
- 1 stick butter (melted)
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)
- 16 oz (1 cup) chocolate syrup (I used Hershey’s)
You can try any brand of bread machine that has a “batter”,”cake”, or “sweetbread” setting and at least a one pound bread capacity.
Start the machine on the batter/cake setting and drop in the eggs first, mixing for a few seconds.
Then put in the melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and baking powder. Let the machine mix for 30 seconds or so.
Then put in the flour and the nuts.
You will probably need to help the machine by cleaning the sides of the pan with a rubber spatula.
Let the machine go through the bake cycle then this part is very important: remove the pan from the machine and let the Brownie Cake cool in the pan for at least 45 minutes being attempting to remove.
When finished you should have a light and moist chocolate center with an ooey-gooey chocolate fudgey syrup topping.
Enjoy!
