The Edge of Breath
Yesterday we played our game “EDGE” on the 11th floor
Kiss me I said
Say hello you asked
Lifted my dress to show you the world
High on defiance and risk
You came to lay tired
On your pillow
Held on to the woman who denies you nothing but air
You leave yet you linger in the air
Thick between our sheets
The fragrance of you
I am denied air to breath
It comes around.
