About a month ago, I felt a lump in my breast.  This was the beginning of a flurry of tests and procedures. Yesterday I had my surgery which went pretty well. However, I am Stage 2, Grade 3, Triple Negative cancer patient.

As a result, chemotherapy is a must.  This will cause me to not be able to go back to work for a few months, I teach at Shoreline College in the Plus 50 program, helping older adults learn computer skills, to go back into the workforce.  I am going to try with the help of my teacher’s and fellow students, to keep plugging away at school though.  I am a Paralegal Student and breast cancer is not going to keep me from my passion for social justice.

Everything is happening very fast and is of course very costly. Cancer, taking off work and taking care of my 86 year old grandmother is a lot for anyone to juggle. Donations are very much appreciated by our family.  Every penny helps.

If you can’t donate then send me your good wishes and prayers.  Those are also appreciated and will help just as much.
